Our Mission and Objectives
The ECCB is committed to the promotion of science and research in the realm of chemical bonding theory. This mission is realized through several key activities:
- Scientific Conferences and Meetings: The ECCB organizes a variety of events, including the prominent European Symposium on Chemical Bonding (ESCB), as well as other scientific conferences, meetings, and summer/winter schools. Organizational Structure
The ECCB is governed by a structured organization that includes the General Assembly, the Executive Board, and the Extended Board. The General Assembly, the highest organizational unit, meets annually to discuss and decide on key issues. The Executive Board, consisting of two elected members, oversees the daily operations of the society, including financial management, the execution of resolutions, and the admission of new members. The Extended Board, composed of 14 elected members, supports the Executive Board and helps shape the society’s strategic direction.
