Prof. Cristina Trujillo’s research in computational and theoretical chemistry focuses on understanding and predicting organic reactivity, with particular emphasis on asymmetric catalysis, catalyst design, and detailed reaction-mechanism studies. Her group uses computation to rationalize and optimize selectivity through key interactions—especially noncovalent interactions—aiming to develop computationally guided strategies for catalyst discovery and improvement with relevance to pharmaceutical and chemical applications.
