The scientific programme includes 26 keynote lectures by internationally renowned speakers, covering a broad range of topics and presenting the current state of the art in chemical bonding.
The 27 contributed talk slots have now been allocated.
Abstract submissions are still welcome for poster presentations.
Multiple prizes will be awarded, sponsored by Software for Chemistry & Materials (SCM), the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, the American Chemical Society (ACS), Chemistry (MDPI), Chemical Science, Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP), and the European Committee for Chemical Bonding (ECCB).
CBOND2026 will be preceded by a one-day Young Researchers Symposium at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel on 7 September 2026, dedicated to PhD students and junior postdoctoral researchers (within three years of PhD defence), to enhance early-career visibility and facilitate networking with peers and leading experts in the broad field of chemical bonding.
